1. Confirm agent appointed for charterer and owner

No Crew change to take place during cargo operations or STS transfer

2. Organize

   1. Crew change/Service technicians/Visitors
   2. Provision/stores
   3. Go to SL01 Crane preparation procedure
   4. TRR/Garbage/Bilge/Sludge
   5. Doctor/dentist
   6. Vetting/Inspections

3. Confirm e-NOAD/pre-arrival documents received by Agent

   1. Customs/immigrations/port forms

4. Confirm MARSEC level in arrival port

5. Consider Energy efficiency measures according to SEEMP

Gas only fuel configuration shall be avoided in national waters and in areas requiring special caution and/or immediate manoeuvring

6. Confirm fuel configuration for arrival

7. Log time and figures for fuel change over in engine and deck log books

8. Confirm information about

   1. Pilot boarding and disembarking arrangement
   2. Tugs, number and ETA
   3. Arrival reporting VTS
   4. Tidal window if applicable
   5. Loading/Discharge order received/LOI
   6. Compatibility/mooring arrangement/manifold/ESD

9. Confirm weather forecast for arrival

   1. Tides, current, wind, waves, visibility

10. Prepare crew

    1. Review work schedule
    2. Review relevant Risk Assessment
    3. Review passage plan for approach, brief Bridge Team

V20 Pre-Arrival Bridge

Bridge team ensures this procedure completed within 24 h prior to arrival

1. Confirm pilot ordered, ETA and arrangement

Notify Master if any equipment has failures. Relevant authorities to be notified by Master

2. Confirm ready
   1. Navigational instruments
   2. Navigation lights, flags and shapes
   3. Signal lamp and whistle
   4. AIS
   5. Log books and Pilot card
   6. Echo sounder
   7. VHF/UHF and Sound Reception System, if applicable
   8. Radars
   9. Synchronize clocks

If entering US waters, steering gear shall be tested acc. to USCG CFR 33§ 164.25 a, no more than 12 h prior to entering

3. Test all steering gear functions
   1. Bridge wings/steering stand, NFU/FU

No discharge to sea within 12 nm from nearest land

4. Inform ECR/Galley prior to entering 12nm from land
5. Review work schedule and watch arrangement for arrival
